The Paper Mill is a 19th century cardboard factory that originated from a 16th century paper mill. After 50 years of inactivity, the water wheels and renovated steam engine once again drive the 19th century cardboard machines. Today, the Herisem Mill has become an educational centre for paper, cardboard and driving techniques where handmade paper is produced just like in the old days. Part of the forge has been converted into a tavern.
