The Hallerbos starts at the southern edge of Dworp. In spring, the soil is covered by thousands of wild hyacinths. You can find the same delicate little flowers in the woods of the Provincial Domain in Huizingen. Here you can expect much more though, as on these former castle grounds, a rock garden with hundreds of bushes, shrubs and plants was laid out. From early spring to late summer, you can always see one or the other plant or bush adorned with flowers. However, the best time to visit is the month of May, when the azaleas provide an unforgettable palette of colours and scents. Different plants that stimulate the scent or whose tangible form is easily recognisable to the blind and visually impaired have been selected and assembled in the “Blind Garden”.
