This alleged “hospice” dates from the mid 13th century. It experienced a revival in 1647 thanks to the arrival of the guesthouse sisters of Antwerp who fled Hulst. The U-shaped complex features an inner court.

After falling into decay, the building is now awaiting its new destination as a cultural centre.
